The standards the books are built on

Standards

5min
The 5-Minute Rule

Every lead, from every source, gets a personal response within five minutes. Never later than eight. At ten, the customer is usually gone.

20sec
The transparency video

A quick, upbeat walkaround that proves the vehicle is really on the lot. The camera stays on the car, not the salesperson.

52
Ready-to-use rebuttals

Price, payment, credit, trade, timing, and trust objections handled with the Acknowledge–Clarify–Respond–Advance pattern.

50/50/50
The daily standard

Fifty calls, fifty texts, fifty emails per salesperson per day, tracked on a manager's weekly scorecard.

Inside Click to Keys

One process, from the inquiry to the delivery and long after.

The book follows the customer's actual path: online inquiry, first response, appointment, showroom, numbers, delivery, and follow-up. Every stage comes with the exact words, the policy behind them, and a one-page reference you can post on the wall.

  1. The First Response Formula and Two Appointment Rule

Simple structures that turn texts, calls, and emails into appointments that actually show.

  2. A playbook for every lead source

AutoAPR, Capital One, CarGurus, Cars.com, Autotrader, Carfax, social media, website, trade-in, payment, credit-challenged, service lane, and cold-list leads, each with its own first touch.

  3. The four-square done right

How to present price in a way that protects both trust and gross, starting from market or MSRP, never a careless hypothetical number.

  4. The 10-Day Follow-Up System and 30-day cadence

Win the deals your competitors give up on, with a schedule your team can actually keep.

  5. Referrals, reviews, and your personal brand

So customers start asking for you by name, and sending their friends.

  6. Ready to use on day one

Copy-and-send scripts, a one-page desk reference, ten dealership policies you can post and train on, and a manager's weekly scorecard.

About the author

Written from the tower, not the conference stage.

R.C. McIntosh is a working automotive sales manager in Cincinnati, Ohio. He runs a pre-owned department, coaches salespeople, answers internet leads, and desks deals every day. The books are the systems he actually uses, written down so any dealership can run them.

His approach is simple: be truthful and confident, adapt to the customer in front of you, treat every lead like it matters, and never write a number you can't stand behind. Salespeople who follow it sell more cars and build careers that last.
